The Moral Circle
Your group members don’t expect you to have all of the answers. They expect you to care about who they are, and to want to help them grow. That requires two things:
- Embrace others without condition. (Matthew 5:47)
- Expand your moral circle. (Mark 1:40–41)
- What one group of people you would find it difficult to lead well in group because they would normally fall outside of your moral circle? Why do you find it difficult to interact with that group?
- What are some practical things you can do to get past your discomfort and extend radical hospitality to those in your group to whom you don’t feel a natural connection?
