LAUNCHING YOUR GROUP AT
WOODSTOCK CITY CHURCH!


STEP 1: REGISTER YOUR GROUP ONLINE BY friday, August 2.

Before you register, please consider:

  • Area of town where your group will meet.

  • Meeting day and time.

  • Co-leader(s) name(s), email(s), address(es) (if applicable).

  • Names of people you already know are joining this new group (if applicable).

  • Number of additional people you would like to add (typical Men’s and Women’s groups have 10–12 people and Married groups have 6–7 couples).

STEP 2: SEND US A PHOTO.

STEP 3: SPREAD THE WORD.

Here are some details for you to share with anyone you've already asked to join your group:

  • Do NOT register online (you provided their information when you registered your group).

  • The first group meeting will be at Woodstock City; attendance is required.

STEP 4: KICK OFF YOUR FIRST GROUP MEETING AT THE CHURCH.

Groups will have their first meeting at Woodstock City based on the dates and times below. If you have any questions, please contact your Groups Director. 

  • Sunday groups: Sunday, August 25

    • Evening groups will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Attic.

  • Monday groups: Monday, August 26

    • Women’s daytime groups will meet at 9:00 a.m. in Starting Point.

    • Evening groups will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Attic.

  • Tuesday groups: Tuesday, August 27

    • Women’s daytime groups will meet at 9:00 a.m. in Starting Point.

    • Evening groups will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Attic.

  • Wednesday groups: Wednesday, August 28

    • Women’s daytime groups will meet at 9:00 a.m. in Starting Point.

    • Evening groups will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium.

  • Thursday groups: Thursday, August 29

    • Men’s morning groups will meet at 7:00 a.m. in Starting Point.

    • Women’s daytime groups will meet at 9:00 a.m. in Starting Point.

    • Evening groups will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Attic.

  • Friday groups: Friday, August 30

    • Men’s morning groups will meet at 7:00 a.m. in Starting Point.

    • Daytime groups will meet at 9:00 a.m. in Starting Point.

PREPARING To LAUNCH YOUR GROUP

To give new group members a great first impression, please reach out to them twice before your group kickoff. 

Beginning Sunday, August 11, we’ll send you updates whenever someone joins your group. You can copy, paste, and personalize the email templates below. This digital introduction will help people feel known before they arrive and missed if they don’t show up.

If you don’t hear from someone that signed up for your group and they don't show up to the event, you can indicate this on your roster at the launch event.

●     First Welcome Email (Monday, August 12): You can email everyone on your roster (see template).

●     Second Welcome Email (Sunday, August 18–Thursday, August 25): Start an email conversation with the group a few days before your group kickoff (see template).

NOTE: We’ll send a logistics email to all registered attendees a few days before your scheduled kickoff.

AT THE LAUNCH

Event Schedule

  • 6:30 p.m. – Leaders check in and change into their leader T-shirts.

  • 6:45 p.m. – Leader information huddle begins. We want to set you and your group up for success, so please arrive on time for the leader meeting.

  • 7:15 p.m. – Doors open.

  • 8:45 p.m. – That’s it! You just met your group and had your first meeting.

Your group's first study will be provided. We will go over the details at your group kickoff event.
