PREPARING FOR LAUNCHING YOUR GROUP

To give new group members a great first impression, we’re encouraging you to reach out to them twice before your group kickoff. Beginning Sunday, January 20, we’ll send you updates whenever someone joins your group. You can copy, paste, and personalize the email templates below. We hope this digital introduction will help people feel known before they arrive and missed if they don’t show up.

If you don’t hear from someone that signed up for your group and they don't show up to the event, you can indicate this on your roster at the launch event.

●     First Welcome Email (Monday, January 21): You can email everyone on your roster. (see template)

●     Second Welcome Email (Sunday, January 27–Thursday, January 31): Start an email conversation with the group a few days before your group kickoff using. (see template)

NOTE: We’ll send a logistics email to all registered attendees a few days before your scheduled group kickoff.

AT THE LAUNCH

At your first meeting, we will help you create an environment where it’s fun and easy for your group to get going. When your group members check in, they’ll receive nametags and your table number so they can find you. They’ll also receive a copy of your group’s first study, Circle Up.

We’ll help your group experience a typical meeting in three phases:

1.    Connect: We’ll serve appetizers and provide fun icebreakers for easy, informal social connection.

2.    Learn: We’ll share a vision for groups and a video from Andy Stanley.

3.    Grow: You’ll sit in a circle with your group to discuss what you just learned.

Of course, we’ll have a Questions Table with Groups staff in case you or your group members need anything.

Event Schedule

  • 6:30 p.m. – Leaders start checking in.

  • 6:45 p.m. – Leader information huddle begins in meeting room.

    • We’ll walk you through our plan for the evening.
