Silence and Solitude Retreat for Group Leaders
Thursday, April 2, 2026 | 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. | Eagle Ranch in Flowery Branch
As we approach Easter, we want to invite you into something rare and meaningful—a day intentionally set aside just for you.
This Silence and Solitude Retreat is an opportunity to step away from the noise, pace, and pressure of everyday leadership and create space to be with God. It’s not about learning new material or accomplishing a goal. It’s about slowing down, listening, and allowing God to meet you where you are.
For many of us, life and leadership are full. We plan, care, teach, lead, and pour out for others. This retreat is our way of pouring back into you —because we believe healthy leaders lead best, and your spiritual well-being matters.
What to Expect
The day will be guided but intentionally quiet. We’ll gather briefly at a few points for short reflections that will help frame the experience; then you’ll spend extended time in silence for prayer, Scripture reflection, journaling, and personal listening.
If you’ve never participated in a silent retreat before, that’s okay. You don’t need any prior experience. We’ll provide simple guidance along the way, and there’s no pressure to perform, speak, or lead. The only invitation is to show up and be present.
Why Silence and Solitude?
Silence and solitude create space —space for clarity, renewal, and connection with God. Jesus often withdrew to quiet places before stepping back into ministry. As leaders, we rarely give ourselves permission to stop. This retreat gives you that permission.

Who is this day for?
Anyone who wants space to slow down, listen, and reconnect with what matters most—especially those who carry responsibility for others.
How should I prepare?
Come open and willing to slow down. You don’t need a plan for the day.
If possible, begin reducing noise ahead of time by clearing your schedule the night before, limiting screen time, and letting others know you will be unavailable.
Will food be provided?
Yes. Lunch will be provided and enjoyed in silence. Coffee, tea, water, and light snacks will be available throughout the day. If you have dietary needs, please note them when you register.
Where can I go during the day?
The main gathering space will be open all day, and you’re welcome to leave your belongings there. You’re also free to spread out across campus, indoors or outdoors, within designated areas.
I’m not sure about a full day like this. Is that normal?
Very normal. Most of us aren’t used to extended quiet. You don’t need to make anything happen. God is already present and at work. Your role is simply to show up and pay attention. Often, the impact of a day of solitude becomes clear over time, not immediately.
