If you just started a new group, you've now entered the "takeoff" phase of its life. It's a critical stage because, if you do it well, you'll lay the foundation for building strong relationships that support spiritual growth. What you do now will have a huge influence on the rest of the group experience.

We're here to help. Here are two things you can do to have a smooth takeoff in your new group:

  1. Use the starter study. We've just launched a brand new 4-week study for new groups called Connect + Grow: Beginning Your Small Group. It's designed to get you and your group members on the same page about the purpose of group and what you each need to do to make it a success.

The study is free. You can stream videos and download a discussion guide at anthology.study/connectgrowstudy. You an also download the Anthology app to your smartphone, tablet, AppleTV, Google Chromecast, or Roku for easy access to the video content.

  2. Prioritize leader training. We've created a brief leader training called Creating a "Flight Plan" For Your Group. It includes a short video about how to plan for the stages of your group's life, as well as a checklist of things you can do to have a successful takeoff.

Thanks for choosing to lead a group. You are an essential part of helping to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
